Highlights
The Memphremagog MRC shows a loss of 907 jobs during the last year, bringing the total to 4 239 in December 2008. This decrease represents in itself 17.6 % from last year.
Throughout
the year 2008, local manufacturing businesses have invested $25 174 850 in fixed
assets.
The number of manufacturing businesses has gone from 169 to 167. This can be attributed to the creation or establishment of 6 new businesses and the shut down or moving out of the MRC of 8 companies.
